Come to our meetings and be assured that you will meet wonderful people. Relax with an afternoon tea and home made cakes and listen to the guest speaker, who could be anyone from an aromatherapist to the Bridge master of the Clifton Suspension Bridge!

All our meetings are held in the St James' Priory, Whitson St, Bristol BS1 3NZ at 2pm. This is the next entrance on the left as you come out of the Bus Station walking towards the Eye Hospital.

We normally have a stoma care nurse in attendance to help with any problems.

Saturday 11th June @ 2pm Join us for the summer meeting. Our speaker will be Cheryl Loy-Hancocks from u3a (University of the Third Age). Our trade stand will be Trio Health Care.

u3a was founded in 1982 (and celebrates its 40th anniversary this year!) by Eric Midwinter, Michael Young and Peter Laslett who had a common belief that people in their third age could manage their own affairs if only they were given the resources and confidence to do so. The organisation currently has just under half a million members. Their motto is learn, laugh, live. Bristol u3a is entirely run by its members and has over 140 interest groups. In addition there are over 130 u3a groups in South West England. Cheryl will be delighted to give you more information on groups near to BOSS members.

You are guaranteed a warm welcome. For more details email Pat -

Future meetings - 3rd September: Penlan Medical - Hernia Management; 3rd December: BRI Head Stoma Nurse
